To the Public:

I am, like most, saddened by the news of the recent shooting at Woodson Middle School. I extend my condolences to those affected by this painful event. Please refer to the artist's statement for the game's intent. For further questions, please contact me here.

In the press I've been getting lately, I have tried to articulate very clearly that Columbine was a "wake up call" not just for our society but for ME in particular as I was once headed down a similar road. I found other outlets such as filmmaking and theater... unfortunately those like Harris, Klebold, and apparently others did not.

NATALIE ALLEN, CNN ANCHOR: The Associated Press has a report of a school shooting at a middle school in New Orleans. Apparently two students were wounded.
Let's go to David Bowser. He's the spokesperson for the police there.
Mr. Bowser, what happened? And what school did it happen at?
DAVID BOWSER, NEW ORLEANS POLICE SPOKESMAN: Yes, from what we've been able to understand, the details are still really sketchy, but shortly before 12:00 Central time here in New Orleans, two kids were shot on the grounds of Carter G. Woodson Middle School, which is located in the central city area of New Orleans.
We have been able to confirm that both kids actually attend the school and that they were actually shot on the school grounds -- not inside the building, but outside right adjacent to the actual structure. These two students were taken to Charity Hospital where the hospital people there are saying one is in critical condition and the other is in stable condition.
Right now, the big question is who actually did this. We are trying to confirm an unconfirmed report that one of the two people in the hospital might be the perpetrator in this and that's something we're still trying to flush out right.
So, you know, right now, you know, it's a pretty chaotic scene over there. This is a section of New Orleans where a lot of kids do not live that far away from the school. They can actually walk there. This is a very densely populated area and a lot of, you know, parents going over there and seeing if their, you know, son's are involved in this. And, you know, that's really all that we have.
ALLEN: Well, there was one report that said one of these students might have gone home and gotten a gun and come back to the school. Is that something that you're looking into or that you've heard?
BOWSER: No, I haven't heard that, no. Has there been a gun recovered? Do you know what kind of gun was used?
BOWSER: No, I don't know which -- what kind of weapon was used, no. ALLEN: All right, well, we thank you very much David Bowser and we'll continue to follow the story.
